Prep Resources

Interview prep for technical GTM roles

  • Discovery & MEDDIC refresh

Be ready to walk a deal end to end: entry point, pain, metrics, champion, paper process.

  • Your numbers, written down

Quota, attainment by year, average deal size, sales cycle, new logo vs expansion split.

  • The demo / mock pitch

Most technical vendors run a panel pitch. Structure it: qualify, position, prove, close.

  • Territory plan

For senior seats, a first 30/60/90 with named target accounts is what separates offers.

What we send you before every interview

  • A written brief on the company, product, buyer and territory.
  • The interview panel, format and what each stage is scoring.
  • Comp structure, quota, ramp and the realistic path to attainment.
  • A first-90-days framework you can build your territory plan on.

FAQ

Candidate questions, answered

Does it cost anything to work with GTM Search?
No. Candidates are never charged. Our fees are paid by the hiring company, and that does not change the advice you get: if a role is wrong for you we will say so.
Will you send my CV without asking?
Never. Nothing goes anywhere without your explicit consent for that specific company, and we tell you who the client is before you decide.
What should I be paid in 2026?
It depends on role, segment and territory. Our published benchmarks cover UK and US base and OTE for SDR through CRO, for example £90k to £110k base and £180k to £220k OTE for a UK enterprise AE.
How do you prepare candidates for interview?
You get the interviewer's background, the format, what good looks like at each stage, the real reason the seat is open, and a debrief after every round. For technical roles we run a practice walk-through before your demo or panel.
I am not actively looking. Is it still worth a conversation?
Yes. Most of the people we place were not looking when we called. A confidential conversation gives you a market read on your comp and options, with no obligation and no follow-up if the timing is wrong.

Let's talk about your next move.

A confidential conversation, no pressure.
